Three months of Edinburgh: Time flies when you're in lockdown....

Three months! I have been living in Edinburgh for three months! There are still days, many days, where I have to shake myself and remember where I am.

Those who know me personally know my biggest worry with moving to Scotland was the cold. But I've actually been loving the wintertime! I LOVE the snow and right now we have INCHES of snow on the ground!

I'm just like a child whenever I go outside, no - I AM a child when I go outside!

Covid has changed a lot of the experience, naturally, but even so, I'm having the time of my life! It's hard for a travel bug like me to not be allowed to travel outside of the city, but I am slowly and quietly building my travel bucket list (and savings) and oh boy, it's going to be good when travel opens up again!!!

Every weekend I go walking somewhere new inside Edinburgh, and I'm appreciative that the lockdown is "forcing me" in a way to explore the places closest to me. All too often we ignore the excitement in our own backyard.

Three months gone and many more to come!!

Where I've been (a snapshot):

Craigmillar Castle

Arthur's Seat

Royal Mile

Where I will go (a sneak peek):

Isle of Skye

Loch Lomond

Inverness

When I close my eyes to dream I see...

Porto, Portugal

Athens, Greece

Brussels, Belgium

Tell me, what else should I add to my bucket list?
